The buffer power supply is intended for the uninterruptible power supply of CCTV equipment requiring a stabilized voltage of 12V DC (+/-15%). The power supply features two circuits: 1x5A / 12V DC for powering the DVR and 16x0.8A / 13.8V DC for powering cameras via transmitters using RJ45 connectors and UTP cable. The power supply's output current is:

1. Output current 16 x 0.8A + 5A DVR + 2A battery charging
2. Output current 16 x 0.7A + 5A DVR + 4A battery charging
3. Output current 16 x 0.4A + 5A DVR + 8A battery charging
   
   The total current consumption + battery charging is max. 20A*.

In the event of a 230V mains power failure, the unit switches immediately to battery power. The approximate backup time is given based on full occupancy of output ports using typical devices and a battery with a capacity of 34Ah. The internal power consumption and the energy efficiency of the supply rail were taken into account. The power supply is housed in a metal enclosure (color RAL 9003) with additional space for a 2x17Ah/12V battery. The enclosure design is adapted to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the protection and secure storage of sensitive data (possibility to mount two locks with different codes). The enclosure is equipped with a microswitch to detect door opening (front side).
